I was so happy to know that Biko was named after Stephen Biko. Kids in the USA today should know this name, and be inspired by his life brought full circle in the name of a child and the songs of a family bringing joy to new generations. Thanks kids, Stephen must be so proud, I see his dreams in your eyes.🖤💛💚❤🤍💙

It came out in 1972 by Johnny Nash and was written and sung by him with a reggae beat. About 20 people have covered this song before Grace VanderWaal lol. I do love Biko's Manna's performance though.

@@cherylalt101 good information, but there are a few corrections here: Johnny Nash wrote the original version of "I Can See Clearly Now", which came out in 1972 and hit #1 on the charts. This was a pop version of the song. Jimmy Cliff did the Reggae cover of the song for the 1993 movie "Cool Runnings". Grace VanderWaal's version of the song is not actually a cover, but a complete reimaging of the song. Only 3 lines from Johnny Nash's iconic chorus were used in Grace's version. All the rest (music, lyrics, and meaning) were new. She performed the song live on tour on Feb. 7, 2018, which was about 6 weeks before the song was officially released (in March 2018). So while it is true that "I Can See Clearly Now" had been covered many times, very few people have ever covered Grace VanderWaal's song "Clearly"

@@pamelatire8386 well apartheid did a lot of damage to the country as a whole and personally i understood the question raised by the public but i didn’t like how they handled the situation, and even with how the home affairs were fast to do background check on how her documentation was made , to me it felt like they were quick to respond because it was towards a black child 🤷🏾‍♂️ they is lot of cases ignored in the country but Chidima case was also worse because of how the society looks at the nigerian people
