The purpose of making a song your own is to embrace how it makes YOU feel. So everyone saying she changed the meaning of the song.. thats kind of the point? She made us feel how SHE feels the music. I love her, she could have chosen another song and done amazing, but this was still amazing !

Wow. I do not know who this woman was until right now. And this Hozier song is one of my favorites. It is poetic and yet hard to sing with new meaning. She found a new layer and made it her own. What a VOICE. And the maturity and phrasing. A beautiful gift.

Dee Dee… I just love what you did with the song that they gave you. You sang it beautifully and you made it your own as any creative artist would, and should do. I heard that song in a whole new light and your passion shines through when you’re singing. I suppose you could’ve taken the easy route and picked another song but, this made me feel something…YOU made us feel something!
