She’s been recording albums for over 20 years. I’ve been buying them. She’s been in mainstream radio for years and toured with Nancy Wilson from Heart and basically took Ann’s place. I’m not sure why she was on this show. I’m truly wondering if it was just a promotional tactic since she is already a well established musician

@@buddah610, I agree with you on the one hand; it doesn't seem fair for established professionals to be on shows that are supposedly meant for undiscovered amateurs. But on the other hand, even though she's established as a long-time performer, she's not achieved superstar status, so she's still looking for that BIG break like all performers do. I've not heard of her and I'm sure there are many who haven't heard of her. And speaking as a singer (amateur), I would definitely take advantage of an opportunity like this for national exposure. So even though it doesn't seem exactly fair to me, I still say good for her for going for it. How's that for a divided opinion? 😂

That was someone that made the “record producer” Simon break character. He’s usually this panel show villain character, but he was and is a huge record producer, this immediately made that part of him light up. I’m sure she’s already getting calls from his contacts.

For those who don't know, Liv wasn't just on stage with Prince. She's very well known among Prince fans. She was on stage with him for the last 5 or 6 years of his life. He mentored her. He encouraged her to record her own music, including writing 2 songs on her album The Unexpected (including the title track).

REAL music!! Yay for Liv. My first time seeing Prince perform live at Paisley Park back in 2013 Liv was one of his backup singers. She was amazing then and now. She brought that magic to this performance for sure!

Although I agree she was phenomenal, she's NOT the first singer to stand out. IMHO there were at least three others who really stood out: Kodi Lee, Gamal John and more recently, Richard Goodall.
