He took his personal tragedy and gave us art . I loved that he included his father's voice/memories in his story. He should not have been cut........he is a true artist.

@@mariettevanheerden1819 The dog act went through, the high school group, the country singing boy (Chris I think), Sophie got golden buzzer so she made it through. The beatboxers made it too, and the people who stacked on top of each other.

I love how as he lifted into the air the dream catcher gave him the appearance of angel wings. I've never had someone who performs in this manner bring tears to my eyes....but this did.

My sympathies Matthew... my mother also had pancreatic cancer... but I knew about it before she was in the last stages of dying. I had that last year to say goodbye. Beautiful routine.

Having lost my Sweet Momma to Breast Cancer 5x over 14 yrs I can relate to how devastating it is to lose a huge part of ur soul. This was so frickin BEAUTIFUL, CREATIVE AND MOVING... Wonderful job on performing an unforgettable act and paying tribute to ur Dad!! I know *U MAKE HIM PROUD!!!* Even though his physical body isn't w/ u, I fully believe *HE IS WITH U IN SPIRIT* and was there w/ u in that dream catcher. So touching~ Sending LOVE and BIG HUGS 🤗 to U and ur Mom. Thank U for being brave yet vulnerable to share such a personal, beautiful story w/ ALL of us~ 🌬🙏🏻💗😌🙌🏻✨✌🏻

I was never more disappointed with the AGT judges than when they let this guy go in place for the dog trainer and the high school dance team. This guy was incredible, emotional, and talented! What else are they looking for!!?

I was shocked 😳 and appalled 😦 that they cut Matthew he received a standing ovation from all the judges and the audience. It was breathtaking. I saved this on my playlist for my fav AGT Acts but this is the first time that I got it wrong I was certain he was going through. WTF happened did I miss something? He was told by Grabiella that she couldn’t wait to catch his show on Vegas and Simon hinted he did a great 👍 job. I hope they see all these comments and bring him back and let us decide!!!

I wanted more, because he showed us just how good he is during his audition. His physical performance here didn't quite live up to the power of those audio recordings of his dad. BUT... I can't believe he got cut and the high kickers made it through. NO WAY.

He was SOOO good. Bummed he didn't make it. I think the acrobat acts often get cut because they don't connect emotionally to the audience, but this one definitely did! I hope this opens lots of doors for him

Yes, sob stories should be avoided. Not in this case though. It was pertaining to his act and he was trying to convey a story. Just the act without the story would have made it dull.

FJO 9 keep in mind that what we see on TV prior to the live shows are edited to fit the time a lot available for a given statement. Many things were not included due to time constraints.

to often with most of these acts its all about who can do the biggest stunts and whatever i like that he brings it back down to an artistry part he tells a story he does do amazing tricks but he also is beyond just that.

I was watching AGT videos to cheer up, but this guy came and speak to my soul and made me cry again I'm going through the same with my dad and I can see in his dance the pain of loosing him but most the love for him... Whatever Simon, this show could headline a show. This would be a golden buzzer in my opinion. I'm sure he could do more creativity with this direction.
