he was the police officer at my high school throughout all 4 years. in 2016 during the black history month performances he came on stage singing and surprised everyone, teachers, students and all. He was always a nice guy and always made you laugh if you were. You go Officer Mayo!

When Pastor Mervin Mayo sings his Gospel Song about the passing of his Dad and going to the Funeral Home to cut his father's hair, it brings tears and touches your heart in every area. I truly LOVE this man. I only know him from his gospel music but he is one of my top 3 gospel singers in the world and watching this audition made me cry. I watched it at least 10 times. You can just feel his spirit through his videos and songs and I really want to take a trip to Richmond to meet him and his wife at their church 💙

I turned the TV on tonight and was about to switch it to my Roku but I saw Officer Mayo was from VA and had to watch. I lived in Virginia Beach for decades, graduated school there and met my husband there. My late husband Howard loved AGT and I honestly have avoided watching since he died because it makes me sad when I can't share it with Howard. Tonight I didn't change it, and I am glad. It felt like a message. My husband used to sing this song to me. Ironically I have had problems with my spine, legs and feet for over 20 years. When pain made it hard to get around Howard took care of me. We lost Howard to covid-19 early in the pandemic. I miss him every day. I try not to cry but this performance touched my heart.

Minister Mayo has such an amazing voice and is a kind spirit! His KZbin channel (Mervin Mayo) popped up on my timeline a couple of years or so ago and I have his music on a daily rotation on my Apple Music playlist! Minister Mayo seems to be a very humble and inspiring person! If you listen to Minister Mayo talk about his faith or listen to the lyrics in his songs, you will become so inspired and begin to feel the blessings of His word! On my way to work, while at work, on my way home, when I am running errands, and when I am exercising, I have to listen to Minister Mayo. Please take a moment to support this man of God! There are a lot of great acts that deserve Golden Buzzers but they only have so many to use. He's a good singer but given the amount of competition this year, he probably won't make it to the finals. Very few singers do.

Beautiful performance by a beautiful person. The inflections, the different ways he sung through the song was so special. You could feel the all the moments in this song, to a special person. I miss my special person.
