It kinda bothers me how disrespectful they were in the first part. like, coming from a pianist, i can tell you that song is fairly complex and he played it beautifully and it was annoying how rude they were towards him.

Hmm... The audiences are paid to make rude comments, facial expressions and even the judges are paid to do so. It is all directed that may. I liked it, but am annoyed by it as well. Either the filming was staged or the audience and judges genuinely has bad taste for classical music. The acts that are appealing are sometimes low effort, but just meant to grab ppl's attention to mask their lack of talent. Not saying this is a case, but it's very disappointing that you cannot just play a classical piece without staged yawning and then having to do something unnecessary just to wake the fake audience up.

It takes talent to play an instrument to that level but this guy is more than talent, he's got brains as well to understand that the audience would be bored and adds a a bit of spice to the audition.
@manuelbes5 жыл бұрын
Do you even know what really is piano playing ? The part here is the easiest part if Für Elise, and if he was really inspired by Beethoven, he would have played something else, like a sonata. If he was really a good pianist, he would have played some Chopin etude, or even some Liszt or Rachmaninoff.
@manuelbes5 жыл бұрын
If he knew the audience would be bored, and was a good pianist, he could have played something like... Idk, etude op 10 no 4 by Chopin ? Little red hiding hood by Rachmaninoff ? Mazeppa by Liszt ?

Yeah, he said he loved Beethoven... Yeah, starting playing Für Elise, and completely destroyed the piece when he started dancing. Also, Simons reaction at the beginning, and also the audience's reaction to the classical music were both disrespectful and showed how immature these people are and how dumb this mainstream competition is. And please, don't you dare throw your stool again

I honestly think you are not being open minded. Classic music has been played for centuries. You shouldn't get attached to the same art form over and over. He wanted to experience with dance and i thought it was awesome. I play classic music myself and i thought this was innovative. It is impossible to understand this with a "concerto" scenario point of view.

I think he fired up at the start when playing the classical piece. Then, it felt very ridiculous that he needed to use his dance moves to "save" his act (his dance was cool too) when it was already good at the start when he was playing the piano.
