I’m confused why Mel and Simon needed a story. Just appreciate the magic! His tricks were insane and it left me wondering “how?!”

Omg I love him. It’s something different of what we’re used to see and it’s so entertaining

No way this was a fair judgement!! It was based on love, the various symbols used, of the paper airplane (could be a love letter), the camera (perhaps symbolizing the sweet memories) a woman (here he showed Heidi) and then he showed another picture of a couple in a dancing pose (romantic relationship)... there wasn't a specific story imo, it was just pure love, and all transformed into rose petals... each of them holding meaning, hence making the rose complete in the end, symbolizing love itself! It was quite simple and easy to follow💖 not to mention his SMOOTH hand tricks, he's friggin' TALENTED!!!

How can they not get the story? I don't even understand why they see it as such a big issue. The important part is the magic and his sleight of hand. He's incredibly skilled.

He is brilliant. The judges are just expressing their opinions. And there was a story.

I love watching Yu perform. I still like to rewatch his 2012 Paris Grand prix of magic performance from time to time. He was/is an inspiration to Shen Lim in his magic.

He deserved to be in the final, he's possibly the best magician besides maybe Shin Lim to be on this show ever. Absolutely adore him and his act, he's amazing at his craft.

Ok. We're not stupid. We know how the tricks are done. Strings and quick hands. Distractions and misdirection. But it's the slickness and the elegance of execution that creates the illusion. He is highly skilled and that takes years of time and effort. The judges should have acknowledged that.

I don't care about Mel B or Simon comments. I was truly amazed and I am always amazed by how Yu Hojin makes magic! It is beautifully done and very smooth. It doesn't always have to be a story about a man fall in love with another and they get married happy ever after.. Love is much more than that and can be many things. I always enjoy watching Yu Hojin and what I love about him is that he doesn't only do one trick like using cards as many other magicians do. He always use all kinds of stuff. I never know what he has planned and that is one of the reasons why I am always looking forward to his performances. and then he does it really smooth and relaxed.

The story was very easy to understand, and the magic was right on par with telling it. Some just don't know how to read with their eyes and emotions.

I think Yu Hojin is a good wizard. And he has a lot to keep you entertained by his talent. Yu Hojin's performances are never boring and I think there will definitely be something unexpected in the future of his magic shows.

The story was about love and moments… but more importantly was the magic tricks on display! The 2 confused judges are asking for drama in a magic act. They don’t appreciate subtlety.

Wow ! His illusions are just perfect ! No error, can't see how he made this stuff disappear and appear fast like this ! He is really magical ! Howie was right in his comments. This act was not about the story but about the tricks and they were amazing !

Saw this guy and 4 other top of the cream magicians (Luis de Matos, Darcy Oake, James More, Enzo Weyne) live today in Sofia, Bulgaria. All of them had absolutely breathtaking performances, but Yu Ho-Jin left me speechless the most. Unique tricks always with a story/ meaning behind them, I hope he continues to do magic for many more years

Magic doesn’t always have to tell a story. I think they are so used to all the magicians having a story. It should be about magic. Shin Lim did coin and card tricks and they were so cool.

Look I understand the point of the story falling alittle flat but irregardless his tricks were AMAZING, they legit got stuck on the story piece and didn’t address that like 10 different objects appeared and then disappeared with MINIMAL hand movements. Like HOW?!?! Amazing, hope he gets votes 👏

Some other magic acts in this show didn't really a story either. Just magic. Just appreciate the magic. And that's the story itself. Magic. Plus, he was talking about love. This act was awesome.

Everything starts from 💕 and ends in 💕 that's the story he told us all. He showed we took photograph because of 💕 we manage time for 💕 we send letters because we 💕 we flew for love. We even don't know the person in the photo but we fall in love so what else did they need. Those two judges must concentrate on the magic to follow the story. They missed the story because they were trying to find his tricks. Magic doesn't work for them and some others who happened to get bussy halfway. Great tricks by the way

It's all concept. Don't think too much what the pictures are and all the random details. It's not about the pictures. We have a pretty lady in a dress that gets tucked away in a book. Then watch that he "fumbles" and it disappears. The next picture is a couple in a park. Then his camera, that captures frozen moments disappears. The last thing is a ring. That disappears. Then he steps into the rose petals and the broken rose is put back together. There's a story and a flow to it. It was beautiful. He is talented

actually quite agree with lack of story but more in a way that it could have been so much more. maybe if he just started with "how love can appear and disappear" then in the end "but we still choose to love", when he brings the rose back, it would be enough to tie it all in.

Simon never liked him in the first place. He criticized Yu Hojin's in his 1st appearance on AGT and retracted what he said on Yu Hojin's 2nd performance. So, I'm not surprised with his comments now. The magic of Hojin is not the usual and that is what makes him different from all the others. I think Simon has this think about Asians.

I believe that magic doesnt always require a story to be good. As a magician myself who performs for a lot of my friends and family (and at their parties or gatherings), I try to use my magic, not always to tell a story but to try and brighten up the people around me

It’s not the first time Mel B didn’t get something on the show. If you understand the magic, then it won’t be magic. I agree with other comments on here that is the best magician to come along since Shin Lim. I would definitely pay to see this guy. And you have to love how cool and calm he is through the whole performance. I think he’s brilliant!!

bringing the flower back was surprising and amazing.

There was a storyline of love with the flowers, which was the flowers being plucked apart, then the ending with the flower being put back together
