Thank you so much! It was such an honor that Metallica trusted me that I’ll make them proud and I was able to play this iconic Metallica song for the first time ever on AGT! And the AGT crew are amazing in creating such an incredible unforgettable experience. Metallica was the reason I started playing guitar since 6 years old and now it feels like a full circle that I got to play Metallica for my 2nd ever biggest stage performance. That's what made this day most special for me! Thank you all for the love and support. It means a lot! ❤❤❤

When Maya played the solo of James's vocal tune at the start, I was a little concerned it would end there... But when she went into the Sitar thing, and then launched straight into playing the bridge solo of Master of Puppets... And did it so FLAWLESSLY... You go, girl !

HOLY CRAP!!!! My wife watches AGT but we didn't see her perform so I decided to look for it. WOW glad I did. Not only did she just flat out shred as a guitarist she was able to blend some of her cultures sound into it with amazing results!

Absolutely unbelievable. I bought this “Sitar” pedal a while ago because I like adding this sound to rock music I play written by my favorite musicians. (Just for fun, and it’s very therapeutic for my PTSD) Congratulations on this epic performance!!!! Really brought me to tears of joy. 😢

I don't know how Simon could say that this was a step up from Maya's first audition because it was just as fabulous as this one and the audience went just as wild. This girl can play anything, I've watched all her videos on her channel I don't see how she could get much better. She does everything to perfection.

"As an Indian", "outgrow competition". Stop wrapping her in racial and capitalist labels. First thing you invoke is Nationality. Let's enjoy her as a human artist above all who is a generational talent. Also there is no competition. She isn't better or worse than anyone, and shouldn't have the pressure to be so. She is her, she will go as far as she wants to.

This literally brought tears to my eyes, not only because of her talent and all of that - there's also the reality that this song that was never heard on "rock radio" and didn't have widespread acceptance in America - it's now being played on network TV on a TV show that has an enormous following. That is awesome!!

She has a technique that is mind blowing for a pre-teen, but what strikes me the most is that her frasing is just spot-on. That usually takes years if not decades to master. Hat is def off. Rock on, young lady!

@@Beholder505 LOL.. do you realize she is a 10(now 11) year old girl from India, which doesn't even have a proper rock culture let alone a metal one. & this is her only second time performing on a stage & that too live & on AGT of all places. Forget the technicalities of such a legendary, well known & tough song.. getting approval from Metallica's side shows how much they trust her.. & having that much of a responsibility would make even a grown up nervous & fumble. Metallica even commented on her IG video & shared this video on their story. Cliff Burton family was in the audience cheering her on. Did you achieve something like this at age 10-11? if not, then learn to appreciate others who do.

wow, gave a shout out to cliff. I remember seeing cliff at Ruthies Inn in Berkeley, CA. He was so excited because Metallica was going to be opening for Ozzy. It was the start for them. Sadly, he was dead not long after from his bus accident. RIP.
