The way he kept looking over at his parents for their approval, instead of looking out into the audience for their approval (and there were thousands of people cheering for him) is a huge reminder that kids need their parents in their corner and in their life for every single occasion whether it big or small. Simon said something that only musicians will understand when it comes to playing the drums, and music in general. His timing. For a kid that young to be able to hold a grove that tight is remarkable. I can appreciate that Simon has a serious level of music understanding, more so than most judges that I have ever seen on this show. This is why he is there. A lot of grown drummers have trouble holding a considerably consistent tempo while playing, so for this kid to be able to do so at his age is truly a spectacle to witness. 👍
