Child prodigies often don't succeed at math later on for a few reasons. First, pure math is about proofs, not calculation, which requires a lot of patience, and attention to detail, not just calculation skill. Second, a lot of prodigies don't need to work hard. Terence Tao, possibly the smartest mathematician alive, almost failed his PhD because he didn't study enough. Finally, a lot of them end up working in industry making millions modelling stockmarkets and such, instead of research.

Yes you can. You are clearly not a parent. This is not Matilda love. He has parents who are astute and non rachet. It starts at home. Reading to them and flash cards. There are so many people whose parents did not engage with them educationally in their formative years. That is clear by the overwhelming amount of Americans with 3rd grade grammar and your remedial presumption. 😊 @@PETERSFOODLtd

@@Alkiel singing in auditions are the worst. The producers off camera telling them to start clapping and screaming at different parts. Sometimes they’ll edit in a second or two of silence at the end of the song before the crowd “erupts” in applause. The “random” shots of people commenting who just happen to have mics on. The professionals that they bring in as “amateurs”. They know the average viewer will swallow everything they feed them and ask for seconds.

My sister and her husband were spending time with my family. One of their kids, a 3-year-old, was fussy about being left behind by her parents, so they quietly slipped away for a fun day at the beach by themselves. When my niece woke up, I told her they would be back soon, she was upset. When they returned, she said accusingly to them, ''' you never even said goodbye''' That simple sentence broke my heart' . Kids are smarter than we think.
