I don't think we mean to hate on the guy. It's just that he really did not deserve a million dollars! Almost everyone on here saw his not so slight of hand. They are all good people whether you know how they did it or not. Just because some people can do things better than others doesn’t make that person bad at what they’re doing. I do not understand why he won, let alone make it to finals. I don't mean to hate on the guy, but there were phenomenal acts this year, Aidan Bryant, Leà Kyle, World Taekwondo Demonstration Group, Victory Brinker, Josh Blue, and so many others. Like, if you wanted a magician, why not Leà Kyle? Her act is true magic, and would be a stunning Vegas Show. Talent. Aidan Bryant is self taught and he looks like he's flying through the air. That's talent. Victory is 9 years old and has the powerhouse voice of a grown adult. That is talent. The World Taekwondo Demo Group have been training in their art their entire lives, dedicating mind, soul, and body to their craft. Their act is true talent. I really thought AGT was turning it around this year because the finalists were a stunning variety of insanely talented acts, rather than all being singers. It isn't a bad thing to be a singer, but it was nice to have a vast range of finalists. The fact he was voted winner just proves that this show is America's Got Sob Stories, or you prefer, America has Talent but refuses to give it the spotlight it requires.

Dustins act is sooo long and this whole guessing what people wrote and thought is soooo over done. There’s literally a million of these and much more entertaining ones too. @reverbals3 жыл бұрын
you're saying that he didn't work hard... he's got a wife with 2 kids, and he's on AGT doing magic. How does he not work hard? If it's so easy, do it yourself lmao
@secrepesmon72753 жыл бұрын
@@reverbals he's a magician but 90% of his act was giving some inspirational speech. There was hardly any magic tricks which he's all about. It doesn't do justice to those others who gave one of a kind performance. And this is a competition whether you are single or married and have kids doesn't matter. Unless this competition judges someone based on their background.

I'm not sure Dustin Tavella is the best magician technically, but I really admire him anyway. I love seeing magic acts who try and move us and provide stories/messages to enhance their routine. Engaging audiences is just as important as technical skill, and that is Tavella's special gift. With messages and visuals like that, the "How" is pretty much irrelevant. I'll really be rooting for Tavella in the results show...

Too much story, not enough magic. The story is really great but I didn't see this act for a story, I saw it to see magic and today I saw more story than magic. I did love his other performances though and I *give* him and his family my best wishes.
@breyerhorsestudios29643 жыл бұрын
Yeah I just felt like the act is all emotion, which is great but a magician needs to show magic. The prediction portion was the only part where I didn’t spot the trick’s secret (the paper between his hands, rolling up the sleeve and distracting the audience) and keep in mind that’s just from looking at the bottom half. No need for active looking. In the last act, the trick was also rather simple and easy to see how it’s done without trying but at least it used something new; the X. I don’t want to be a hater, but I wish he did something that’s new, exciting and non-generic.

I can understand the argument and this was abit weak when we judge it from a magical performance side of things, i was aspecting him to do more with the other judge’s papers but only did simon’s, leaving the other judges still in mystery with their papers so i felt like this is abit weak and lacking some more additions.
