Alex stood out in his audition by his looks, his smile, his personality, his song choice and by his decision to sing in a genre that others in the competition are not doing. No sad back story, just a genuine performer.

I'm 73 and I've heard a ton of music going all the way back to the beginning of the Beach Boys and Four Seasons. This song brought me back to the 60's and dancing a slow dance with that special girl at the prom. One of the best love songs I've heard in awhile.

Malt shops, cruisin' in muscle cars (yup just like the movie American Graffiti), great rock and roll music with the British Invasion and just hangin' out after school. Unfortunately the Vietnam war came soon after, but the 60's were innocent times for most of us.

I actually found his honesty refreshing. When asked Do you think you can win one million dollars, he replied that he was just trying to get through the audition. That's a real answer and you could see he was thrilled that he accomplished this goal!

I was doing something at home and found myself singing and realized I was singing part of his song! That song catches you! It is so retro as Simon and Howie have said. I love the 50s and 60s style of music and I think he could have a fantastic future, because This retro style is some of the most romantic and heartfelt songs ever written! Please do more, Alex! There are hundreds of thousands of people who love this retro music! I wish you great success and I will personally be looking forward to more of your music. 😁💖🇺🇸

He’s been around for years and he’s already gained millions of followers across social media platforms, hundreds of millions of likes, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the number of streams, his music has has followed that, I’m actually quite confused why Alex is auditioning for America’s got talent if he already has a fan base. the only thing he’s really lacking is a record label that has picked him up

I absolutely LOVE this guy's voice!!! His voice is so smooth and sultry I have to say he really reminds me of Stephen Sanchez with the type of style of music he's singing in his wheelhouse. I want this guy to go far this season as I just love everything about him and is a brilliant singer

This audition probably meant a lot more to me than it will mean to most... I've been listening to Alex for quite some time.. His song "Play Pretend" has been my #1, all time favorite song for over a year. Of any artist ever. I randomly stumbled upon this video and it made my day.
