I go to taekwondo, and in my dojo, there’s an entire poster on the wall saying “I CAN DO IT!” every promotion test I go to, my master will always support us, and just help us. One of the things he’s taught me is to always have a goal in mind, and one of my goals right now is to get into the taekwondo demonstration team. he’s talked about how it’s disappointing how people go for just the black belt, and nothing else. I can understand, since he’s put so much work trying to get people to learn something, just for them to leave because the black belt is the highest rank and they don’t want to go further. even people won’t take the 1 day program, they just leave… this makes me have my heart filled, as it just feels like how much work and dedication taekwondo is put into, and how much these people put into taekwondo, is just amazing, and they followed what they believe is the best for themselves.

Every Fighter that reaches that leavel can decide if they wanna use red or brown, or their trainer chooses for them. So when he says he is a brown belt, he techically is a redbelt. I myself have the Black-red and brown-Black belt:

@Scotty Johnson This is not dancing around like a kid. Each of these Tae Kwon Do stylists has been training for at least 10 to 15 years in all aspects of Tae Kwon Do as a martial art BEFORE trying out for teams like this. Once selected, they then spend at least a year, more often two to 3 training specifically in demonstration team skills.

Our son was bullied at age7. My husband and I put him in Taekwondo. My son got an amazing Master from South Korea to train with. The discipline and confidence he got from doing this has carried him into adulthood and continues to carry him. Our son has excelled at his chosen profession, he’s a college professor. He always exudes confidence in everything he does . I know it’s from his teachings from this discipline. He never used his skills to bully, he builds up others. I’m so pulling for this group. All kids should enroll in the martial arts

Most children in Korea start taekwondo at the age of five. The move is aimed at embracing the basic sports spirit of self-defense and protection of the weak. As a parent, I strongly recommend teaching Taekwondo spirit from an early age. (FYI: They would have cleaned up the pine boards after the show. In Korea, the demonstration team cleans up after the taekwondo demonstration.)

I’m on a small taekwondo demonstration team, I’m a second degree black belt almost at my third degree and have been doing the team for almost 5 years. This, this reaction is what is amazing about doing it. It’s not about how good you are and what belt you are it’s about making people amazed and happy. And everyone from my team and studio is absolutely amazing they are my found family. My team ranges from elementary school kids, middle and high school, collage, and some adults, along with some of the older master there, so we are no means national or even regional ready but we do little small time performances and it is so amazing to see and hear the “oohs”, “ahhs”, and “wows” from younger kids or belts.
