All the other judges are so brainless that they don't understand comedy. Howie is the only one who actually reads between the lines. Heidi and Simon pressed their buzzers during the telekinesis act, because all they saw was someone who "thought all these really obvious things are magic!", as if he was stupid for thinking that. Come on, you're a judge on BGT show and THIS is how far your train of thought goes???

So you get 3 x's but also a standing ovation AND judges that pressed started laughing or smiling after they pressed. Conclusion: the audience was dumb or the judges.... I'll go for the latter :-) . He was funny and had a character to go with. Not saying it was the best humor but funny nonetheless.
