For all you youngin's out there or people who don't know or don't remember, he was the actor in the old Police Academy movies, in the 80's, who did alot of noises. He was alot younger then, but still talented. It's nice to see him again!

To improve his show, he just needs a big screen behind him showing differents cartoon movies while he is doing the noises. This gives context to what he is doing. Now it is just a bunch of noises. He could also create a story this way.

@@deoram9951 of course he's not legend you fool, he's much more. He's a flippin" Grandmaster and also the Greatsest human fx artist and beatboxer of all times. Nobody greater in any era and there won't ever be anyone greater in any lifetime. Stuff that he done in the early to mid '80s in stage and in Police academy is so advanced that nobody could ever surpass it. People didn't even know it was him. Police academy alone is legendary ...but Michael is more than legendary, he's superhuman.

How impressive this gentleman is, and I have been following him for a long time and he is pure talent and today it was demonstrated, the jury put it in his pocket, he gave the jury the luxury of choosing what they wanted, I repeat them, be careful with this tremendous talent (humble opinion). Doing an improv routine was a smart idea - It allowed him to demonstrate his skills whilst keeping the time down. It was a fun performance, but I doubt it will change enough minds to do well in the vote...

his skills havent improved since the movies. he's just pulling from his catalogue. he was already super famous, he shouldnt have been allowed on this show to compete against nobodies. not when you were in hit movies, for doing what you are already doing again on stage.

I hope Hollywood is paying attention this man wants to come back and you need to give him a Role!! He kept us entertained for much of the 80s and early 90s and had to take a step back. Hire this MAN!!!!! Put him together with WIll Ferrell :)

Unpopular opinion, I know... but here goes anyhow. I've always loved Michael Winslow's talented noise making capacity, but honestly, I feel like his AGT performances are just all over the place and don't have a purpose. Let me explain. In the Police Academy movies, his talents were used to create distractions and situations that added to the comedic elements and value of the movies. Without the supporting cast and storyline of the movies, the noises serve no purpose and thus, it actually comes across as kind of boring -- in much the same way his AGT performances have IMO. If he was a singer, he literally would have sung several different styles throughout the performances and the judges would be critical that he has to figure out who he wants to be as an artist. Additionally, they didn't become overtly distracting because they were paced well throughout the movies - whereas in a stand-up style, the constant barrage of noises has no flow and actually distract from each other. I will always love Michael Winslow - the Kung Fu scene in the Police Academy movie is still one of my all time favorite scenes from any comedy movie -- but I'm just not a fan of what he's done on the show. That being said, I can certainly appreciate the skills he possesses.

I've definitely liked his audition the best so far. The sound effects were at least part of a story. He's the most talented voice artist in the world. If he can use those talents to tell a story, he'll be unbeatable.

It's because he's in a classic film and did such a memorable scene! People are going to push him forward just because of that to honor him. I do also agree though that his performances of random noise without purpose isn't as entertaining as directed scenes. It's a great talent but enough to beat out these group acts.
