Simon and Heidi don’t understand how hard it is to play the soprano sax in tune, which he actually does. To play from the bottom to the top of the register of this instrument in tune and keeping a homogeneous sound is a beast of a task which he has mastered. So sad that these judges don’t understand this. Maybe they’ll read my comment and learn.

Fun fact: I first met B. at IU Bloomington during his freshman year. He told me his goal was to perform on the big stage with some of the biggest stars. I told him that college wasn’t the place for him because it would only be holding him back. This was my advice to B. because school would only teach him a curriculum, which I knew that his talent overshadowed any basic college curriculum. I later found out that he left IU to purse his solo music career. As of today, B. has played sax for Kenny G, Babyface, Toni Braxton and some other heavy hitters in the music industry. I know a star when I see one! Continue to represent well for the 317! Congrats B.!!! 🎉❤

Yep I went to hs with him happy he's reaching for the sky! Agt is just more exposure he's auditioned before and didn't make it this time they invited him to play! He's already accomplished so much hopefully this keeps opening more doors for him!

T H I S said this for years. They should have a judge for music, for danger acts, maybe an athlete..anything besides the current panel. I love them but they have no right judging most of these acts🙃

He can play anything. Been following him since his KZbin days. He just came off tour with Babyface & has an album on iTunes. Don’t know him, but proud of this young man. My fav performance of his is My My My by Johnny Gill. Very talented.

I was struck not only by his insane amount of talent and his performance/presence, but his humble swagger/confidence (even when two judges said "Meh..") He is a class act and incredible. I'm glad more people get to know/hear/see him. Bravo!

0:57 - my heart jumped out of my chest! I am in love with B Thompson’s musicality! And to see Terry Crews say his name was confirmation for me. Wow! But I kind of forgive Simon for saying that he needed a different song, because B HAS that range. No offense to Tina or Tina Turner fans, but you should listen to his entire discography BEFORE coming for me. Because B is SO TALENTED! When he comes back, he should play one of the many songs that he's written. Unless the entire cast of AGT is tone-deaf to REAL JAZZ…. Then there you go.
