I grew up in the era of the original Menudo. The guys in this audition had some big shoes to fill, and they nailed it! They went straight to the 2nd song professionally with no back talk or anything. Congratulations Menudo!! 🙂

No, Menudo was different from BTS. It was THE BOYBAND, who started a Latin crossover that had not been seen until then. In fact, it is Súper Junior who initially had a resemblance to Menudo. And Súper Junior, they are from the generation that created the path for Kpop to be recognized in the world.

Most of the people in the comments have no idea how big Menudo was. Yes, this is a new formation but “Menudo” is one of the biggest boy bands in the history of music. They sold million upon millions of copies around the world. These boys just started recently and they have been evolving a lot. They deserve to be encouraged. They have so much pressure being in “Menudo”. They are very talented and they all can sing. I’m so happy they auditioned so more people can know about them. I hope they get their big break soon.

I was a big fan of menudo when I was in grade school. That was in the early 80s. I am so surprised to see them on here. I know they change them out as they get too old, but I haven't seen them for a long time. It was such a treat to see them on here. I told my daughter it's menudo. She said I have no idea who that is. Maybe this generation will know them after this.

To those of you who think and say that all this was staged, two years ago my niece was a contestant in AGT and before she was introduced on the stage, she was asked to have AT LEAST THREE SONGS that she could sing and knew the words, in case something like thing happened, that is why when Simon stops anyone singing, he ask: "Do you have another song?" or "Did you bring another song?" She only sang one but didn't make it all the way. Look at the faces of those kids when Simon stopped the performance, they were shocked and seemed sad and it does not look staged. I wish them, all the best and hope that a good group comes out of this.

I have been asked multiple times to be on AGT. I refused because they don't pay the performers. " Exposure" is not payment in any way, shape or form. Look at the salaries for the judges. It's stupid.

I’ve seen videos of Menudo back in the 80s-90s era and their music is really good! And I’ve heard some of the songs from these new guys too and they sound really catchy as well! The youngest one Nicolas almost reminds me of Ricky Martin when he first started out!

I started following Menudo back in 1981. I will always remember those days fondly. I was a kid following a group of kids. Now I'm no longer a kid, but I can see and appreciate the essence of what Menudo used to mean. These new Menudo kids are phenomenal in what they are doing. The combination of looks and personalities is amazing, especially for a young fan. Their voices are better than what Menudo used to sound like (I saw them live twice). These amazing kids are just getting started..... They deserve the chance to wow us with what I'm sure they can achieve. I will be supporting you kids from a distance (Moscow, Russia) and from the sidelines..... I was very sorry to see how Mr Howie Mandel dismissed the group with a no. I would've thought that a no was reserved for an audition that was categorically bad...... Well, it's his opinion. To me their performance of 'Feeling' was very good, and Im sure they can do it much better..... They're just getting started...... Let's wait and see what they have in store for us. Good luck, kids!!!!!!

Their harmony and when their voices blend is really incredible. And the little one (Nico?) has a wonderfully charismatic and infectious energy; as long as he stays true to himself and humble, he'll for sure be a star. I love his frank openess about the language; my only suggestion would be to next time say something about music being a universal language, haha.

I think Simon thought he was talking to the eighties formation of Menudo. If these boys aren't themselves both on stage and off stage as well as on camera and off camera, I don't know who I am! Being a child itself is a challenge, and if you're lucky to enter Menudo, and sacrifice a few years of your life, I'm sure you'll not regret it, and once you leave the group, you'll have more potential to pursue your life, and not be a pushover. Think about it.

This must be the season of the cool kids, many are here on AGT. However, the new Menudo is the audition I have on repeat. Feelin' has been living rent-free in my head because it's so catchy and radio-friendly. All five boys are awesome, but I must say Nicolas Calero radiates superstardom. Note: For those people making assumptions about this awesome kid, like calling him a brat or saying that he's annoying, you could not be more wrong. I believe that he contributes his creativity and talents to the group just like the other members, and I'm sure they are secure enough with themselves to let him shine bright.😊

To be honest I agree with what Howie said because I didn't find them very appealing either why because 1 they have no stage presence 2 the stage looked very messy and empty even with five members they should be able to fill a stage and they didn't and 3 if they were trying to dance and or rap well sadly they did none of it the dance was sloppy and the rap was weak. Personally I think they have a very long way to go before they can be any where near to a global boy group

I’m old enough to remember the OG lineup, but my favorites were Ray Reyes (RIP) and then Roy Rossello came along and that was it. I was in LOVE, but wondered why he was absent sometimes and a sadness in his eyes that I myself knew in my own way (not comparing). It’s horribly sad to learn the truth about what he and some others went through.

Honestly they kinda reminded me of CNCO (they were a Latin pop group that were popular by having billions of views on their music videos but weren’t popular enough for everyone to know them that Simon also helped form) a little bit I can’t wait for these guys to blossom as they get older ❤ I love their energy

The second song was better, Menudo has one of the South American biggest pop histories ever since the late 70’s. Very talented young boys. Love their outfits and senses of humour. He has no idea what he’s singing about. 😍😘🥰🎵🎶🤩🌟✨👑🏆⚜️💎📺🎤
