He did her a big favor. There are a million artists that can do Adele covers. My Church has a lot more character and dynamics than even the greatest ballad. Ballads are great to listen to, but not to showcase an aspiring artist’s voice.

Anna has a beautiful voice and is a fighter. Her nerves must have been through the roof. She fought through it gave a solid performance. Look forward to hearing her in next round.

Yeah but she isn't coached or know much about it because everytime she needed to go higher she was bending forward which is opposite of what you need to do to sing high, she needs coaching before she gets any chance on any stage.

Well not totally umprepared. For the moment yes,but when I was topic to g I had hundreds of songs in My head that I could call on At a moment's notice. Anyone who is actually working already had that ability. However, the occasion required something extra from within. She's great, wish her well.

While I agree the story was pre planned because contestants have to pass the pss test in the city they originally auditioned in. Then they are chosen from that group. The would never take a chance on some random person in the audience. But I still think she is very good.

She can carry a tune, and could certainly have some success as a singer. Her voice is quiet, she warbles too much, and needs to PRONOUNCE the words. But, she’s perfect for a show like this.

You guys are so NAIVE. These "narratives" are scripted by the producers well in advance. Get this: The song sung by the singer on stage is RARELY the song they came in with. The singer and producer work together to choose the best song that suits their voice. It is a long process that takes time. Sometimes singers are asked to LEARN a new song and try to see if it could be their best song. BUT of course, if the same process repeats on stage a 1000 times (singer comes on stage, sings great song, greatly impresses judges), the process loses its uniqueness after a while. So to "keep things fresh" producers resort to this from time to time. The contestant (who does NOT QUITE know the con) is asked to choose a song they are not quite comfortable in as their first choice, and their BEST SONG as their second choice. SIMON IS TOLD OF THIS IN ADVANCE. And then the same process repeats. It's happened a 100 times and will keep happening.

.. it's arranged with the performer beforehand - no surprises behind the scenes. They also edit in clips of audience members being taken by 'surprise' and acting shocked to hype up the TV viewing figures .. the show is cooked!

If simon interrupts your performance, that's actually a really good thing. It means he thinks you have potential and should sing something better. Otherwise he could just let you sing and then say no.

It means it's scripted 😆 you can tell because the audience is always silent throughout the first audition like they're being told not to make noise so simon can "interrupt" and say nah that's not it, do you have any other songs? And then 100% of the time goes better and the crowd makes noise like they would normally. Scripted.

@@techt-125 It was definitely real, and it would be difficult to act this. I understand in the past why some performances would seem staged for drama, but this one was just the fault of the producers. They over-dramatized this way too much, but I do think the daughter's reaction is genuine. It was extremely awkward and she didn't even know what song to sing, she had to rehearse the song she was going to sing backstage. Little time to prepare, her mother picked the songs. If this was really staged, she would have just started singing right away and it would have been perfect, standing ovation and everything. The result was that this whole thing was a mess, she ended up getting a no from Mel-B, but because of her potential they let her through. There would be no point in staging something this poorly, as if it wasn't staged the daughter would have had a way better reception.

Lol, these situations are not unplanned. None of these shows are random. From the pre-auditions to the live shows, everything is carefully planned and executed in order to get specific people into the final / pull at your emotions / benefit certain people.

Mel was clearly brought to the show for conflict purposes because she does it well. As for this girl and her audition....WOW, this girls voice is beautiful and you see and here her passion and to come out and sing and handle stoppage and take critique like a champion was amazing. You could ask her to sing 1000 different songs and i believe she'd handle it with her strength and passion. Goodluck to you and your career.❤

She isn't jealous. That's a ridiculous statement. This girl is a fairly good singer but nothing exceptional. Maybe with more voice coaching she will develop her skill which I think Mel was suggesting?

I SAY THIS, you stole my theory! Because they want ratings and drama and a villain. The tells are there where she is perfectly happy with an audition, not mean mugging then becomes the bad guy. And its not like japanese weird acts people love she doesn’t get, it is good acts

She has great natural talent and a unique voice. If she's only been pursuing singing for a year or so, I think more experience will make a world of difference. I kinda wish mom would have given her more time to build her experience. Either way, great job Anna. Use this experience to grow 100x more.
