you think it was done live? I think they created a flight simulation and for the audition they only had to pressed the ''play'' button so to speak, and the drone would arrange themselves automatically.

i would like to believe this is true; however, i still see a lot of singing contestants going through and winning the golden buzzer. I love agt but it's getting repetitive. i can see this group going far but will they have a chance to win among the crowd of singers, we shall see.

Well this post didn’t age well. Their semifinal shows about the death of one of their daughters, AND airing on 9/11, I was bawling. And Simon literally had no words. I hope they win.

Drones have been used like this or for other artistic elements like video and photography for years. The drone show at the Olympics made this one look amateur at best

They made a cool thing and it's still a live show. It's not like they coded an app for everyone to download and sell them a product. They coded art

I thought that as well and it's best to have critical thinking, especially in regard to scams and cults! I still get emotional whenever the judges push the golden buzzer though. ☺

Well, doesn’t it stand to reason that they’d have a golden buzzer ready for them just in case? These contestants come a few weeks ahead of the show to prepare for their performances. They have to make certain that their music, sound systems, stage props, etc. are set to go. So, no… it’s not some sort of extraordinary coincidence. It’s a well prepared program that showcases talent. It’s not “scripted,” so you don’t need to employ critical thinking for AGT, but for God’s sake, please, do employ critical thinking at the ballot box in November. It’s a shame that paranoia has crept into all the wrong places, yet critical thinking is in such short supply in all the right ones.

The men doing the drone show would need to have hours at least to get this ready. Obviously the crew behind the scenes knew about it and put the buzzer there so that they would be able to have a chance for it as well as any other contestants would. It's not strange at all.

I hope Macy's saw this. It beats their July 4th fireworks shows which I attended 4 times.

Disney World as well just introduced a drone show and will likely bring them into the Parks themselves in the near future!

Drone shows over NYC are illegal, sorry. There are other parts of the US that regulate drone flying.

@@larrycj4382 I am sure the NYC Council would change the laws if Macy's requested it. Mayor Adams has been using drones to aid in police work so drones are not completely out of the question.

@@larrycj4382 The NYC City Council could change the laws and allow drone shows on a permit basis. I am sure if Macy's decided to use drones, the City Council would change the laws. Permits can be issued for very special events such as Macy's 4th of July Show. I have been to 4 of the shows and it was expensive since I paid for yacht tickets. A drone show would be seen further away, not just near the water.

I live in Dallas Fort Worth. Sky Elements have been doing shows for at least 7 years at our area's special events. The first time we saw it was incredible, though kind of simple like morphing shapes. The second time they were to perform it didn't go as planned and they held it the next day, lol. Kind of lost its luster, but all has gone as planned since and the shows keep getting better and better. It has been a privilege to watch them grow.

I disagree, it was not a golden buzzer moment, it was just ordinary, there were better acts that deserved a golden buzzer.
