As a teenager I learned several foreign languages. One of the hardest things to really understand are jokes. I remember the first one I ever actually got in Spanish, and I was so thrilled with myself! I’m old now, and because I absolutely look like the Caucasian I obviously am, people are sometimes astounded when I start laughing at a joke they will say in a different language. As a fellow Japanese I’m rooting for her all the way!! So proud of her!! Which is part of what makes her act kind of unexpectedly fun & inspirational. A white or black comedian using overtly sexual graphic language is kinda normal and unsurprising. But, coming from Aiko, it is kinda shocking, and subverts a lot of conventional "rules." A really good comedian is not only funny, but helps people see things in a new way. What a great act. I know this is weird and but she reminds me of old school stand-up comedians in the way that they both possess this disarming charm with just a hint of rascal... A sharp, clever comic with things to say and a personality to deliver them without insulting a single person in the room. I am definitely watching out for this one...

OMG! I'm so excited to see Aiko on AGT. I haven't heard these jokes from her before too. I hope she gets far, she's such a funny girl.

She looked like a professional who was just going on AGT to fool the judges. Awesome stage presence and humor
