This guy doesn’t have a sob story and is just pure talent. That’s why I love Sofia as a judge. She doesn’t give a golden buzzer to someone with a sob story but someone who as an amazing talent.

Holy cow, when he sang that final note “away”, he held it for 19 seconds without running out of breath. That’s incredible! Everyone else would’ve died by then or had their lungs pop from lack of air.

Not everyone else actually. There are many, many singers who can hold a note that long. It just takes practiced breath control. I’m not putting down the great performance, I’m just saying it’s not all that unique to he able to sustain notes for 20, 25, or even 30 seconds in some cases.

In Simon's defense - just think of all of the times he's suggested that singers perform a different song, and he's usually right - they nail it. And, he will admit it when he's wrong. Folks may not like it, but he knows talent.

Totally scripted....sad to say!!! This guy already is a known singer (if not already under contract with one of the producers on AGT). There is no way in hell that he didn't have another song. He does have an amazing voice!!!

I saw him tonight with the Pink Martini band at the Moss Arts Center in Blacksburg, VA. I was amazed by his singing so I had to look for him in KZbin. Tomorrow was one of the encore songs by Pink Martini. Jimmie did a full version at it was mesmerizing from beginning to end. Truly outstanding singer.

Yes his voice is wonderful. His phrasing, his diction, his expression... everything about his performance is perfect. But it's his brilliant choice of arrangement that made it possible to win over everyone who hates that song. Including Simon. Including me.
