The Benn Family Band lost their homes in Altadena, California during the Eaton Fire earlier this year. The family shares their story of being displaced during the fire and they are using this performance of "Rescue" by Lauren Daigle as a salute to their hometown of Altadena, California.

Not many people realize this is a Christian song talking about calling to god and he will rescue you. Their voices really were touching to anybody else going through life’s struggles. Beautifully sang.

Who is crying and crying and thinking that how lucky and grateful you are for all that you have. We take it all for granted and these people and thousand still do not have a roof over their heads. Lost it all and Federal gov, not helping them at all. Let us lift each other up and pray for all those less unfortunate than us.

This is my coworker’s boyfriend’s family. She is the kindest, warmest, and most loving person. She comes to work everyday and lifts everyone up even though she continues to face such hardship after losing her home. This performance was incredible!❤️

He does rescue in difficult times! God bless all affected by this tragedy! My mom and I lost everything to Hurricane Michael in the panhandle of Florida and God blessed us beyond in the middle of the storm and after. Beautiful family, testimony and song!!! God bless!!

I always watch AGT and my wife never does. I recorded this segment of the show and showed it to my wife and she literaly started crying and she said here we are getting a new roof put on our house and these people dont have a house at all. This is such powerful reminder how someone can all of a sudden thru no fault of the own lose everything they have. To God be the Glory because these peoples lives were saved!

I cannot believe they didn't get a golden buzzer. That was the best rendition of that song that I've ever heard. And I'm telling you that is not easy, because that song is just so beautiful and complex, and they just really yeah, man, I can see Lauren diegel being so proud of them and wanting to do a video with them. I would love for lauren diego to do a video with them and help them raise the money for their they're a family to have a home compound or something and then like for the community that was just yeah, it's beautiful.I can see them going around and raising money for the community by singing.

I’m from Altadena/ Pasadena, California. This is so beautiful. I see every day the devastation of the wildfires. And we are still dealing with the pain and trauma. From my church 39 families lost their homes. And 10 of my friends. This was so beautiful. You can sense God in this beautiful song - what we need is hope. The park I free fly my birds is all shut down and locked up. Nothing has been ever the same. Everything is burned. The mountains I go hiking is shut down and locked up. No more neighbors. Many Altadenas are selling they lots. We are still dealing with the incompetence of California leaders and politicians that didn’t help the people. All that i got was $700 from FEMA for our smoke damage House. Luckily my home survived. This song was so beautiful. Thank you Jesus , for your goodness, help and Hope. We need Hope.

This hits home, my 96 year old aunt lost her home in the Eaton Fire, she lost everything along with our family history, she lived in her home for over 60 years 🫶💔🙏😥🐦‍🔥🕊❤️‍🩹 also my very first home I ever lived in after being brought home from the hospital as a baby burned, other family friends lost their homes as well - Altadena holds my heart, always ❤️

It’s a blessing that they survived the fires but sadly they lost their homes and everything, and I hope that they will use their next audition as a call for humanity to not just protect beautiful Altadena, but to scream for our only home planet because it’s only going to get worse if we just say “thoughts and prayers” and move on.
